As an Army Officer Dr. Major M D Ray participated in KARGIL WAR 1999 treating injured soldiers on almost all fronts at Kargil and at surrounding areas. His dedicated Social Work is a remarkable contribution to the society on military spirit. Dr. Ray through Universal Unity Trust UUT various organizations, and Govt Projects, and his literary works have been selflessly serving by hosting campaigns and camps on Cancer awareness prevention care and beyond every corner in India. Thousands of people attend physically and through webinars and various media across the country resulting in reducing the huge cost of Govt in cancer treatment. He strongly believes that 80% of cancer is preventable and cancer could be prevented by awareness of the causation of cancer. His cancer awareness lecture is highly popular and beneficial both for precious life and as far as the financial burden is concerned.
He has been acknowledged for many best paper awards for his techniques and clinical and molecular cancer research. His teaching, and delivering lectures worldwide, furthering knowledge globally and his successors are growing internationally. He has also been contributing to 11 Medical books, literature of his innovative articles, and more than 120, published in National & International Journals along with his 21 value-based non-fictional literary books including “Cancer Facts and Fictions". He has received many prestigious awards from the Govt, of India and reputed NGOs for his excellence in Onco Surgery including Rashtriya Gourav Award and Delhi Government award for his incredible performances. His remarkable successful complex surgeries have been accepted throughout the world and also published in the Limca Book of Records and India Book of Records. The marvelous fusions Dr. Ray has achieved as a Surgeon, a scholar researcher, writer, social worker, and overall as a person who is at once very Indian and so to say very global as well, deeply modern and profoundly connected to the nuances and nascent thoughts and researches.
